چکیده
The low limits of detection and information regarding the concentration size distribution nanoparticles provided by single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (spICP-MS) has been taken in advance for assessing released silver from (nano)textiles (nanosilver textiles). releasing procedure consisted using orbital-horizontal shaking (100 rpm, 20 °C, 30 min) ultrapure water (10 mL) as an extractant, it was found to guarantee stability (silver nanoparticle distribution). Stability further investigated at several filtration (0.22, 0.45 5.0 μm) centrifugation conditions, stages required fluff removal after extraction just before spICP-MS determinations. Filtration μm filters not affect concentrations distributions. extractive plus shown a limit quantification number 4.59 × 104 1.53 105 per gram textile, respectively, whereas 12 nm obtained. Repeatability overall 14% concentration) 6% (mean size). Similarly, analytical recovery assays standard 20, 40, 60 led recoveries within 102–113% range. high degree fixation AgNPs fabric softness process integrity non-quantitative (extraction percentages between 0.3 9.0% depending on textile sample). However, methodology developed proven be highly efficient characterization extracted AgNPs, robust since during procedure.

Assessing silver nanoparticles behaviour in artificial seawater by mean of AF4 and spICP-MS.
The use of nanotechnology-based products is constantly increasing and there are concerns about the fate and effect on the aquatic environment of antimicrobial products such as silver nanoparticles. By combining different characterization techniques (asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation, single particle ICP-MS, UV-Vis) we show that it is possible to assess in detail the agglomeration process...
متن کاملVisualization, quantification and coordination of Ag+ ions released from silver nanoparticles in hepatocytes.
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can enter eukaryotic cells and exert toxic effects, most probably as a consequence of the release of Ag+ ions. Due to the elusive nature of Ag+ ionic species, quantitative information concerning AgNP intracellular dissolution is missing. By using a synchrotron nanoprobe, silver is visualized and quantified in hepatocytes (HepG2) exposed to AgNPs; the synergistic use...

Recently, several investigations have shown that the high antioxidant potential of honey can also be exploited to develop new approaches to the efficient production and processing of nanomaterials [2-4], which offer interesting advantages over the conventional routes: they are quite simple, economically competitive and reduce risks to human health and the environment [5]. In addition, these gre...
